CHOYA UMESHU CO., LTD.(HQ: Habikino City, Osaka and CEO: Shigehiro Kondo) hereby announce that The CHOYA CRAFT FRUIT is awarded “Best in Show Liqueur” in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) which is the Competition’s highest honor in liqueur category.
This is the first time for any Japanese or Asian liqueur to win this award.* The CHOYA CRAFT FRUIT is also awarded “DOUBLE GOLD” and “Best Fruit Liqueur”, one of “Best of Class” meaning the best example of each spirit type. Besides that, The CHOYA GOLDEN UME FRUIT” and “CHOYA KOKUTO” are awarded GOLD.
What is The San Francisco World Spirits Competition（SFWSC）?
Founded in 2000, SFWSC is one of the most influential competition of its kind. The 2021 Competition was held at One Market Restaurant in San Francisco from April 1st through April 20th. It was another record-breaking year for more than 3,500 entries from all corners of the world.
